# Timing the market

The easiest way to time the crypto market is to buy consistently with a long term timeframe of 10+ years. Do you think that people who bought bitcoin at a couple hundred dollars 10 years ago should have been stressing when the price dropped by over 50%, or should they have been buying more? If bitcoin and crypto as a whole is truly the currency of the future, it is simply an accumulation game.

So with this in mind, the best thing to do is simply buy crypto by *dollar cost averaging:*

To put simply, the best long term strategy is to simply buy consistently, only looking to sell in the long term. A simple way of doing this is to set up monthly recurring deposits on Binance (or your exchange of choice). This way you are consistently investing in crypto, whilst also *dollar cost averaging.*
